Traffic Injury Prevention Journal

Traffic Injury Prevention is the official journal of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, The International Research Council on the Biomechanics of Impact and International Traffic Medicine Association.

The purpose of the journal is to bridge the disciplines of medicine, engineering, public health and traffic safety in order to foster the multidisciplinary science of injury prevention and control. The archival journal focuses on research, interventions and evaluation, within the areas of crash prevention and control.

General topics within the journal’s scope are impact biomechanics; vehicle crashworthiness; epidemiology and clinical outcome studies; data analyses with specific application to crash injury mitigation; evaluation of intervention; and economic consequences. The journal will include full length papers, brief technical notes, survey articles and book reviews.
